Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve reliability and to increase the volume of communication by composing a network with loops and by transmitting data in wavelength-multiplex mode. CONSTITUTION:For transmission from station S1 to station S6, whether a loop is formed between S1 and S6 is formed is judged first. The figure showns that there is not any loop, so a station common between the loop including S1 and that including S6 is found. The loop of wavelength lambda1 includes S1 and S5 and the loop of lambda3 includes S5 and S6, so that S5 is performed by using the loop of lambda1, and S5 changes the loop of the signal from lambda1 to lambda3 to transmit it to target station S6 via the loop of lambda3.
