Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain high-speed recording of equal spaces without producing any overlaps of scanning lines by providing specific relations among the space between scanning lines, the imaging multiplying factor of optical systems, the space between light sources and the number of light sources of a device for simultaneously scanning with the plural beams of the plural light sources. CONSTITUTION:A rotating cylindrical body 5 is simultaneously scanned thereon via a deflector 3 and a scanning lens 4 by the plural beam spots from a light emitting part 2 having the generating sources 1a, 1b of plural light sources like semiconductor array lasers. At this time, the space (p) between adjacent scanning lines l1, l2, the imaging multiplying factor beta of the optical system, the space P0 between the light emitting sources and the number M of the light source are so arranged as to maintain the relation p=¦beta¦.P0/(mM+1) (where m is integers of over 0). Thereby, the optical installation is made easy, and the high-speed recording of equal spaces is obtained without producing any overlaps of the scanning lines.
