Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the uneven intensity of illumination intrinsic to an SLA and enable not only ordinary printer function but also image synthesis and partial erasing to be accomplished by providing at least two sets of exposure systems of the same constitution. CONSTITUTION:The 1st exposure system A consisting of a CRT driving circuit 51, a CRT61 and a focusing type optical transmission body array SLA71 which form the light image by the luminescent spots for one line according to the input image signal BS1 and expose the same on a photosensitive drum 4 as well as the 2nd exposure system B of the similar constitution which exposes the signal BS2 are provided. At the time of ordinary printing with this constitution, the same signal is applied to the exposure systems A, B to operate these simultaneously, whereby exposure is made superposedly. If at this time the SLs of constituting elements are disposed by deviating by every 1/2 pitch, the uneven intensity of illumination considerably decreased as shown by (c). At the time of image synthesis, a document is inputted to the circuit 51 and a format or the like into the circuit 52, and these are recorded. It is also possible to erase part of the image by the exposure system A by overlay exposure of the exposure system B.
