Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a toner having superior nonoffset characteristic by using the particles prepd. by the polymerization treatment of a polymer composition compris- ing by incorporating a polymerizable monomer, a reactive prepolymer and low mol.wt. polyolefin. CONSTITUTION:A reactive prepolymer and low mol.wt. polyolefin are mixed, dispersed or dissolved together with a charge control agent and a coloring agent in a polymerizable monomer. This polymer composition is subjected to polymerization treatment, whereby the polymerizable monomer is crosslinked and polymerized with the reactive polymer or further the solids obtained in this way are ground, by which the particles of the grain sizes required as the toner are obtained. a polybutadiene prepolymer is suited as the reactieve polymer and the ratio threrof is kept at 1-40wt% based on the weight of the polymerizable monomer. Thereby, the toner which has superior nonoffset characteristic and by which sufficient fixing is achievable at low temp. is obtained.
