Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a composite piezoelectric material having low friction coefficient and large piezoelectric effect by composing it of inorganic ferrodielectric powder adhered on the surface with a radically copolymerized or polymerized compound and an isocyanate compound. CONSTITUTION:Inorganic ferrodielectric powder is dispersed in aqueous liquid, a polymerizable compound radically polymerized or copolymerized with inorganic ferrodielectric powder and a catalyst are added to the dispersed material, and the mixture is allowed to stand to proceed the polymerization. In this manner there can be obtained inorganic ferrodielectric powder adhered on the surface with radical polymer or copolymer. The powder is mixed with isocyanate compound to obtain paint material. Then, the paint material is oriented and dried to provide a composite piezoelectric material having excellent wear resistance and large piezoelectric effect together with a plenty of flexibility.
