Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent some combustible gases from being accumulated between a combustible gas supply valve and a burner by a method wherein inert gas is fed to a combustible gas pipe downstream of the combustible gas supply valve when it is closed.
CONSTITUTION: A check valve 6 is arranged downstream of the combustible gas supply valve 4 in the combustible gas pipe 3, and inert gas supply pipe 5 is communicated with a downstream of the check valve 6. When a supply of the combustible gas is terminated, a supply valve 4 in the inert gas supply pipe 5 is opened to feed the inert gas such as N2 gas etc. in the pipe 3, the combustible gas accumulated in the pipe 3 is passed through the burner 1, terminaed for its injection while its proper flow rate being kept, so that the back fire may not be generated, and the pipe 3 may be protected by the inert gas.
