Abstract

PURPOSE:To surely prevent flame formed at a torch part from backfiring, by a method wherein a check valve to check the flow of gas from the torch part side to the pressure regulating mechanism is located between a pressure regulating mechanism and a torch part. CONSTITUTION:By changing an energizing force on a pressure regulating piston 53 of a pressure regulating spring 55 through proper rotation of a pressure regulating dial 35, a gas flow rate from a nozzle 22b of a torch part 22 can be regulated in a stable state to a desired value. Gas coming in respective fluid chambers 54 is fed and mixed in the torch part 22 through a gas outlet 56, a check valve 57, a gas outlet 29, and a pipe 23 to form flame coming out through the nozzle 22b. In this case, since the check valve 57 is closed with an increase in the internal pressure of the pipe 23 even when combustible gas forms backfire through the nozzle 22b and the pipe 23, location of the check valve 57 prevents a backfire flame from entering a pressure regulating mechanism 41, and enables improvement of safety.
