Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to cope with the gases having some different combustion speeds by a method wherein some short yarns of fire-proof ceramics are formed and many numbers of whiskers are provided in the gas passage.
CONSTITUTION: When a heat radiation member 1 for burner is formed by a method in which some binding clays and heat-proof fibers for example a slurry of alumina silica fibers are filtered, ends of the fiber are formed as irregular whiskers 7 at entire circumferential wall surface in the gas passage 2 communicated to a flame port. The irregular whiskers 7 provide a resistance force against a high speed combustion gas to prevent any back-fire and at the same time a low speed gas may be combustioned at a flame inlet having less member of whiskers 7 so as to provide a sufficient accommodation for it.
