Abstract

PURPOSE:To record an image on ordinary paper while using a simple device and without generating noises by a method wherein a porous film having no affinity for ink is sandwiched between an ink-impregnated film and recording paper in a closely contacted manner, and laser beams modulated by an image signal are irradiated. CONSTITUTION:The first thin film 1 consisting of publicly known blotting paper having affinity for water base ink is impregnated with recording ink and is closely contracted with the recording paper 3 while sandwiching therebetween the porous film 2 consisting of a water-repellent fluorocarbon resin. The laser beams 4 from an He-Ne laser 5 are introduced into an AO modulator 7 through a mirror 6, are modulated by the image signal, then deflected by a polyhedral mirror 8 and focused on the film 1 by an Ftheta lens 9, producing an image. Accordingly, the ink at the image part of the film 1 penetrates through the film 2 and reaches the recording paper 3, recording the image. Since the film 2 has no affinity for the ink, the ink in the film 2 is absorbed by the paper 3 and the film 1 and is used repeatedly.
