Abstract

CONSTITUTION: The difference between manuscript detection signals from photosensors PS1 and PS2 is found in a gate EXOR, and the output signal thereof is inverted by an inverter N1. A front edge is detected by a fall detection circuit C3, R7, and D1, and a timer TM is triggered by the output thereof. On the basis of the output signal of the timer TM, a rear edge is detected by a fall detection circuit C4, R8, and D2, and the output signal thereof is inverted by an inverter N2 and compared with the output signal of the gate EXOR in an and-circuit AND for deciding whether the oblique run of a manuscript 25 is within an allowable value or not.
