Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase deodorizing effect as well as to reduce deterioration of the deodorant with the elapse of time by a method wherein the fermented soil passed through a specific process and the Oya-ishi particulate material sintered at a high temp. are mixed in a specific ratio and the resulting mixture is molded in a difenite space.
CONSTITUTION: A soil containing a large amount of spoiled and decayed substances is used as a culture substrate and molasses rich in a carbon source, an easily decomposable carbohydrate or a protein such as rice bran or a bean serum rich in a nitrogen source and a compost material such as sawdust or bark are added to said soil as a nutritious source and, further, fungus body, spore or the like of moulds, bacteria prepared by pure culture is appropriately selected and added thereto to subject said soil to contact culture and, thereafter, the obtained sample is added with water and fermented in a piled condition to prepare the fermented soil. On the other hand, said Oya-ishi particulate material is sintered at a high temp. and the resulting sintered particulate material and the aforementioned fermented soil are mixed in a predetermined ratio and, thereafter, the resulting mixture is integrally molded to prepare the deodorant.
