Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate the need for any optical detecting means and prevent the function degradation owing to toner deposition or the like by electrically detecting the electrostatic latent image potential of a photoreceptor after charging and exposing and controlling the input electric power of flash fixing according to this potential.
CONSTITUTION: The static image potential detecting electrode 12 of a photosensitive drum is divided to plural small electrodes and the detection values of the respective small electrodes 12 are fed to a bias applying circuit 14 by way of a minimum value detecting circuit 13. From this circuit, the bias corresponding to the detection values is applied to a developing part 4. On the other hand, the detecting values of the respective small electrodes 12 are integrated in a mean value detecting circuit 15 and the mean integrated value of this latent image potential is input to a memory circuit 16. This memory circuit has a time lag between the detection of the latent image potential and the input control of flash and outputs each stored value having been stored therein at every fixing width to a flash input control lighting circuit 18 by a synchronizing circuit 17. Thereby, the function degradation owing to toner deposition or the like may be prevented.
