Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a high quality image, thus preventing multiple reflection phenomenon caused in the photoreceptor, by exposing a light signal carrying a picture information to a photosensitive recording medium provided with a layer between a photoreceptor and a base to interrupt an incident light from reflection to the right angle direction. CONSTITUTION:Modulation of semiconductor laser 1 is carried out by drive signals DS corresponding to digital image information sent from the outside, the laser beams modulated are sent to photosensitive drum 4 via optical system 2. Layer 43 for hindering reflection of incident light, consisting of a substance high in light absorption coefficient, such as a black conductive carbon is provided between photoreceptor 41 and base 42 to form a photosensitive recording medium on drum 4. This medium is exposed to the modulated beams, thus permitting the light passing through the inside of photoreceptor 41 to be absorbed with layer 43, light reflection on the surface of base 42 to be restrained, and multiple reflection phenomenon caused in the inside of photoreceptor 41 to be effectively prevented, even if photoreceptor 41 is exposed to a long wavelength light to which it has low sensitivity.
