Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the accuracy of temp. measurement by forming a reflection surface on a single crystal having a m.p. of a desired temp. and using this as a temp. measuring part.
CONSTITUTION: A single crystal 1 having a m.p. of a desired temp. is placed as a temp. sensing part in the place to be measured, and optical fibers 3, 4 are beforehand led to desired places. Light is sent into an optical fiber 3 for incident light and a photodetector is beforehand opposedly connected to the lead-out end of an optical fiber 4 for reflected light. When the place to be measured reaches the desired temp., that is, the m.p. of the single crystal 1, the single crystal 1 melts, and the reflecting function of the reflection surface 2 is lost; hence the reflected light disappears which has been received in the optical fiber 4 for reflected light.
