Abstract

PURPOSE: To expedite the cooling of durable lining materials at the time of changing consumable lining materials by substituting at least part of the durable lining material of a vessel with refractory heat-insulating plastic moldings of specific ratios of heat conductivity and thickness and heat capacities.
CONSTITUTION: At least part of durable lining material layers are substituted with refractory heat-insulating plastic moldings of ≤10 service temp. in the ratio between heat conductivity (kcal/mHr°C) and thickness (m) and ≤300kcal/m3°C. Thereby, lining changing work is started within 5hr if the working hour of a day is assumed to be 8hr, hence the relining work is finished within the working hours.
