Abstract
PURPOSE: To remove deleterious materials echnomically and effectively by adding ammonia to the exhaust gas including nitrogen oxide and sulfur oxide, making the gas contact with a catalyst and adding absorbent to the mixture.
CONSTITUTION: Ammonia is added to the exhaust gas including NOx and SOx and a catalyst is made to contact with the gas to reduce NOx and oxidize SO2 to SO3. The main component of the catalyst to be used should by be TiO and the 2nd component should be at least ≥1 kind among the oxide of V, Fe, Cu, Ce, Ni, Co, and Cr. Then absorbent is added to the gas to remove SO3 after changing it into sulfate. For the absorbent, alkaline earth oxide, hydroxide and carbonate and Fe and Al oxide and hydroxide can be used. The grain size of absorbent should be ≤1,000μm and the staying time of gas until SO3 is taken out as sulfate after adding the absorbent slould be 0.1W20sec. The sulfate is remove by the normal removing method for dust.
