Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the reliability and working efficiency of a data processing unit by changing over connection constitution to a device substituting the lower device of any one lower device when said one lower device is faulty in the change-over devices in a data processing unit. CONSTITUTION:When a processing unit 7 knows that a lower device 6-1a causes a fault via an upper device 5-1 in case a lower device 6-1b is connected as a substitute because the device 6-1a is faulty, this is announced to a discrete change-over instruction circuit 3 by a signal line (h). On receiving this, the circuit 3 outputs a discrete change-over instruction signal e-1. By the controlling of this signal e-1, a one-to-two change-over circuit 4-1 is operated, by which a signal group d-1 and a signal group f-1 are disconnected and the group d-1 and group g-1 are connected. Hence, the signal group b-1 and the group d-1 and group g-1 are connected, whereby the device 6-1b is connected to the device 5-1.
