Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce pulsation of discharge liquid by half making pump chambers into 4 pieces and to increase the discharge efficiency by fixing a liquid diaphragm pump to operate respectively at 2 pieces of operating shaft ends which are orthogonally crossed to each other under air pressure.
CONSTITUTION: With operating shafts 1, 1' which are crossed orthogonally to each other taking a pivot 2 as the center, a diaphragm 3 and a roller 4 are fixed on the shafts 1, 1'. A rotary change-over valve 5 composed of a circular cam 5' and a cylindrical body is supported on the pivot 2. When compressed air is flowed into the change-over valve 5, it passes through an air inlet and exhaust port 9 and compresses one of the diaphragms, which discharges liquid that is sucked from a liquid inlet port 10 through an inlet check valve 12 via a discharge check valve 12' to a discharge port 11. The operating shaft 1 or 1' is moved by movement of the diaphragm 3, and the rotary valve 5 is turned by the roller 4. Thus, compressed air compresses the next diaphragm and discharges liquid. This repeated operation makes continuous pumping.
