Abstract
PURPOSE: To simplify a structure and failitate maintenance and management as well as to impart appropriate tension always to a chain by connecting a drafting jig tensioning the chain to a ratchet wheel.
CONSTITUTION: A series of pivotable shafts 8 are provided between lower parts of a side wall of the precipitation tank 1 by a bearing and a lever arm 9 is fixed to each left and right end parts of the pivotable shafts 8. To a downwardly directed one end 9-I thereof, shafts 10 are provided respectively to be attached with the nail wheel 11 hung to other end side of the chains 4a, 4b for moving a left and a right scrapers and, to a traversely directed other end 9-II, a lower end of a drafting jig 12 of a rod or a rope extending over a water level of the tank is connected. When the drafting jig 12 is lifted upwardly, the lever arm 9 is revolved to one direction around the pivotable shafts 8 as a fulcrum to tension the chains 4a, 4b for moving scrapers respectively by the ratchet wheel 11. An upper part of the drafting jig 12 is maintained in a condition protruded over a water level and, by drafting to an upward direction always by a draft imparting apparatus, the chains are held to a tensioned condition automatically at all times.
