Abstract

PURPOSE: To decrease the ventilating pressure loss in an apparatus which performs heat exchange between a powdery substance and a gas, by supplying cement material powder or the like to a spiral duct which is provided at a portion of a heat exchanging gas rising duct and has a horizontal central axis in order to make said powder or the like exchange heat with a gas there and separating said powder or the like from the gas in a separating chamber at the lower end of said spiral duct before taking out.
CONSTITUTION: A heat exchanging gas is supplied through a gas supply duct 2c in the direction of a black arrow, made to revolve along a spiral duct 8 and discharged into a gas discharge duct 2d. On the other hand, when a powdery substance is cast in through a powdery substance supply port 6 attached to the gas supply duct 2c in the direction of a white arrow, said powdery substance is supplied to the spiral duct 8 together with the gas. During this, said powdery substance performs heat exchange, and then separated from the gas by action of centrifugal force and gravity in a separating chamber 10 before being taken out of a discharge shoot 6a. Said constitution permits heat exchange and separation with a smaller ventilating pressure loss than conventional cyclone separators.
