Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the dispersibility, wear resistance and heat resistance of magnetic powder, by forming a magnetic layer by using a binder which contains a specific ternary copolymer, polyether plasticizer and trifunctional low-moleuclar weight isocyanate. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic recording medium is formed which has a magnetic layer using a binder consisting of a copolymer of 200-600 polymerization degree made of 70-80wt% vinyl chloride, 1-25wt% vinyl propionate, and 5-20wt% vinyl alcohol, and a polyether plasticizer, such as polyoxypropyleneglycol monoether of 200-10,000 molecular weight, and further a magnetic layer with additional trifuctional low-molecular weight polyisocyanate.
