Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the starting performance of an engine, by filling fuel in a fuel pipe extended from a fuel tank to a fuel filter by use of a fuel drawing means of a vacuum pump.
CONSTITUTION: In fuel drawing operation, a nozzle 11 is at first attached to a fuel filter 15 of an automobile 12, and then a vacuum pump 1 is set into operation for evacuating the inner space of a vacuum tank 4. This causes reduction of the pressure in the nozzle 11, so that a pressure difference is developed between a fuel tank 13 and the fuel filter 15 attached with the nozzle 11. By this pressure difference, fuel in tank 13 is filled into the fuel filter 15 via a pipe 14. Here, in order to prevent excessive drawing of fuel, there is provided a control means 5, which consists of a solenoid valve 6 which is opened when fuel is filled in the fuel filter 15, a parallel circuit of a variable throttle valve 7 and a check valve 8, and an air filter 9.
