Abstract
PURPOSE:To lower inertia efficiency and improve control characteristic of the electromagnetic induction coupling device by confronting the first coupling main body of a disc shape, having magnetic pole claws forming alternately different poles in the circumferential direction with the second disc-like coupling main body fixed with a magnetic material. CONSTITUTION:On a shaft 1, the first coupling main body 2 of a disc shape, having magnetic pole claws 2a and 2b forming different poles alternately in the circumferential direction is fixedly installed, and on a shaft 3 the second coupling body 4a of a disc shape in which a magnetic body 4b is incorporated is fixed, while these main bodies being confronted each other in the axial direction through a gap. Furthermore, an exciting coil 5 for generating a magnetic flux is provided in a housing 7 supporting shafts 1 and 3. Accordingly, since the second coupling main body 4a is of a disc shape, film mounting can be performed easily upon mounting the magnetic body 4b, and hence damage due to thermal fatigue can be prevented, and the inertia efficiency as a whole can be lowered and the control characteristic can be improved.
