Abstract

PURPOSE: A device in which two special mechanisms are provided, a mechanism holding a plurality of half-cut fruits that intermittently moves and another fluid- jetting mechanism equipped with specifically shaped nozzle on the top edge of a revolving shaft that opposes to the holding mechanism and can freely go forth and back, thus permitting the complete flesh taking out.
CONSTITUTION: Half-cut citrus fruits coming out of half cutter 11 are pushed in each clamp 19 on drum 18, which intermittently rotates, by pusher 26. While the back end of rod 21 contacts with small-diameter part 24 of cum 23, nails 20 closes but the rod moves on the large-diameter part 25, the nails 20 openes to release the half cut citrus fruit. When the clamp opposes to fulid jetting mechanism 27, the revolving shaft 28 advances to make holding plate 38 to contact with the half cut surface of the citrus fruit and pressurized air is jetted from nozzle 33. The opening of the nozzle is inclined in the radial direction and can jet the entire area of half cut surface, whereby the exposed flesh can be taken out completely.
