Abstract

The vegetable peeler has a blade (2), mounted transversely to the handle (1), and curved inwards (6) to follow a conical surface. The cutting edge (5) of the blade has a curvature slightly smaller than the smallest curvature (corresponding to the largest vegetable) normally expected to be peeled. The tool is made in a single piece by cutting and beating a sheet of stainless steel, and the edge of the handle is stiffened by folding it over (10). The blade is set at an angle of about 125 deg. to the handle of the tool, and is attached between the two lateral sides (3,4) of the handle.
