Abstract

PURPOSE: To conduct filtration without being interrupted, by replacing one of two filters in service with the other filter, when the former has been clogged with contaminants of small particle size, e.g., varnish sludge etc.

The first filter 1 indicates collection efficiency equal to ordinary filters, i.e., tens of percent for small particle size contaminants (secondary harmful material) such as varnish sludge, while the second filter 2 indicates smaller collection efficiency for the small particle size contaminants.
