Abstract
PURPOSE: To eliminate the replacement of parts of an engine due to their wear, by using a main filter of lubricating oil with the performance of filtration not more than 3μ thus obtaining the contaminant introduced from an intake air line smaller than thickness of a minimum oil film during an operation of the engine.
CONSTITUTION: In an internal combustion engine excepting that with diameter of its piston not more than 200mm or its output power not more than 300H.P., a main filter for lubricating oil is applied with its performance of filtration not more than 3μ. In this way, the contaminant introduced from an intake air line comes to be smaller than thickness of a minimum oil film during an operation of the engine, to cause all of the lubricated parts in sliding motion excepting piston rings and cylinder liners not to be worn for the operation of the engine for about 50,000hr, resulting in the elimination of the replacement of its parts.
