Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a rotor having a high mechanical strength, by fixing blades in dovetail-shaped grooves formed along the outer circumference of rotor, and constituting the central portion of rotor with Ni-Cr-Mo-V steel or the like and the peripheral portion with Cr-Mo-V steel or the like.
CONSTITUTION: In rotor 1, there are formed a center hole 5 and circumferentially disposed bolt holes 4, through which bolts are extended for coupling rotor 1 with an adjacent rotor. Along the outer circumference of rotor 1, there are formed dovetail-shaped grooves 2 in which blades 3 are fixed. Central portion 1a of rotor 1 is made of Ni-Cr-Mo-V steel or Ni-Mo-V steel, whereas its peripheral portion 1b is made of Cr-Mo-V steel or Cr-Mo steel. With such an arrangement, rotor 1 can be protected against low-temperature brittle fracture if it is started at a low temperature, since its central portion 1a where concentration of stress is highest is made of steel having a high low-temperature toughness. Further, it has a high durability to long continuous operation, since peripheral portion 1b of rotor 1 exposed to a high temperature is made of steel having a high high-temperature strength.
