Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve acceleration performance and protect a rotor from damage due to the thermal expansion difference between a shaft and the rotor, by making the rotor hollow, carbick-coupling the shaft and the rotor to each other and clamping them by a bolt.
CONSTITUTION: The end of a hollow shaft part 13 projecting from the back wall 14 of a hollow rotor 1 made of ceramic or metal and the end of the hollow part of a shaft 2 are engaged with each other by carbick connection in a position 15 and secured by a bolt 9. Since the rotor 1 and the shaft 2 are made partially hollow, the moment of inertia in running is reduced and acceleration performance is improved. Because the rotor 1 and the shaft 2 are carbick-coupled to each other, the rotor 1 is protected from damage due to the thermal expansion difference between the rotor and the shaft.
