Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the followability against the change of the plant characteristics and the working conditions, and to make developable the function of the ON- line type correction, by determining the optimum charging pitch for the worked material according to the LP method, at the rolling line, etc., for the hot slab. CONSTITUTION:The worked material like as billet, etc., is extracted from the heating furnaces 3a-3d, is charged into the hot rolling line 2, is roughly rolled by roughing mills 5-8, is successively rolled by finishing mills 10-15, and is coiled by the coiler 16. Hereupon, the time of interplant transportation for the rear end of steel plate extracted from the heating furnace, and the tip of the next extracted steel plate, is forecasted. This forecast of each transportation time is obtained from the speed of carrier table, rate of speed change, rolling schedules for the roughing and finishing mills, etc. Additionally to this, the gap time and clearance time at each spot are determined as the restriction, and the minimum pitch is calculated according to the LP method.
