Abstract

PURPOSE:To form well-adhered enameled surface having high smoothness and high reflectivity by applying an enamel forming composition on the surface of a mechanically Al-coated steel plate and then by baking the steel plate. CONSTITUTION:An Al layer is formed on a steel plate by a mechanical method, e.g., vacuum deposition method, etc., in such a way that no Fe-Al alloy layer is formed, and then the surface of the Al-coated steel plate is coated with an enamel type composition, dried, and baked to form an enameled layer. Thus, the occurrence of defects such as pin hole, flaw, etc., is prevented and the bonding strength of the enameled layer is strengthened by the formation of an alloy layer when one- side enameling process is applied. In addition, beautiful enameled surface can be formed without back side being frosted.
