Abstract
The method concerns forming a metal sheet to produce at least a dihedron with enamelled inner surfaces. The process consists of three stages: (i) the metal sheet is bent inwards along the perforation lines (2) and (3) and then in the opposite direction along the parallel lines (7) and (9), so that the resulting surfaces (4), (5) and (6) are essentially parallel to one another; (ii) an enamel layer is applied to these surfaces which are then subjected to a firing process; (iii) the partly formed (and enamelled) sheet is further bent inwards along the lines (2) and (3), so that the surfaces (4), (5) and (6) form a dihedron with flat fold-over pieces (15) and (16). USE/ADVANTAGE - For mfr. of oven shells. It allows the back and sides of such shells to be produced from a single metal sheet, thus saving labour and reducing mfg. costs.
