Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable absorbing of displacement produced at a time of an earthquake, by placing a tyre-type flexible cell, being connected to a liquid tank by means of a constant pressure valve and a check valve, between a coupling arm located at a floating plaform and a nipping arm situated at an upper portion of a mooring tower. CONSTITUTION:When a coupling arm 2 is pressed against a right side by an external force, such as the wind and waves, the tide, etc., the pressure in a right flexible cell 3 increases. However, a constant pressure value 6 does not open, the arm 2 being rigid-coupled to a nipping arm 1 secured on an upper portion of a mooring tower. In the meantime, when the pressure in the cell 3 exceeds a given pressure as a result of a huge external force being applied due to earthquakes or the like, the constant pressure valve 6 opens, liquid in the cell 3 being discharged into a liquid tank 2a. A gap is produced thereupon between a left blocking plate 5 and a left side wall plate 1a. When the coupling arm 2 moves to the left, the left cell 3 is not pressurized until said gap is lost, a subsequent motion being performed in the manner described above. This permits the effective absorption of displacement occurring at a time of earthquakes.
