Abstract

PURPOSE: To miniaturize an on-load tap changer by a method wherein the vacuum valves which are respectively driven with the insulating rods are used as the three phase switching circuit, and the valves for three phases are assembled in one body insulating the interphases with the barriers and put in an insulating tube.
CONSTITUTION: The driving force of a motor 5 is transmitted to a driving gear 74 through an oiltight shaft 92 to drive the tap selector 60W65 intermittently, and an energy accumulating driver 71 is driven in accordance with the motion of the gear 74 through a shaft 93 which penetrates a boundary plate 75 oiltightly, and through the couplings 94, 95. When the accumulated energy is released, a rod 83 moves to drive a moving contact 79, an insulating rod 80 and the metal fittings 81, 82 in the direction shown with an arrow mark. In connection with this motion, the vacuum valves V1WV9 are operated and perform the current-limiting switching at the time of tap changing. As the moving contact 79 of each valves are insulated with the rod 80, the shaft 92 may be made of metal. Thus making the good use of the characteristic that the vacuum valves can be individually operated, a very miniaturized phase regulating on-load tap changer can be obtained.
