Abstract

PURPOSE: To convert a semiautomatic transmission into a full automatic one by installing a driving system to the selector mechanism.
CONSTITUTION: An actuating shaft 12 of a driving system 10 is connected through a connector 13 to a selector mechanism 7, and the range conversion is accomplished by means of the reciprocating motion of an electromagnetic actuator 11. By stepping on the acceleration pedal, accelerator switches ASW, and ASW2 are brought in contact with each other, and after a designated period of time a delay mechanism 16 is actuated and closes a relay switch 18 sending electric current to an electromagnetic coil 15. As a result, the electromagnetic actuator 11 works to accomplish a shift-up. When the brake pedal is stepped on, brake switches BSW1 and BSW2 are connected to each other, and after a certain period of time another delay mechanism 17 is actuated and closes the relay switch 18 sending electricity to another electromagnetic coil 14. This makes the electromagnetic actuator 11 perform a shift-down.
