Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance sensitivity of position sensing without increasing the size of a motor by arranging the constitution so that both sides of a Hall-element chip is held between narrow and wide magnetic bodies and the surface of either of the magnetic bodies directly opposes a permanent magnet rotor.
CONSTITUTION: A motor is provided with a driving coil 4 which is fixed to a stator yoke 5, and a permanent-magnet rotor 2 which opposes the driving coil 4 and is installed on a short by a rotor yoke 3. A Hall element 7 which senses the position of a permanent magnet rotor 2 is constituted so that the top and bottom of a Hall-element chip 7A are held between narrow and wide magnetic bodies 7B and 7C. A printed board 8 is arranged so as to form an approaching magnetic path directly opposing the permanent magnet rotor 2, with either of the magnetic bodies 7B or 7C, e.g., the surface of the wide magnetic body 7C, being the outside.
