Abstract
PURPOSE: To permit the enlargement of capacity by reducing the input of motor as well as permit starting-up in the air by closing inlet valve and guide blade and also by opening exhaust gas valve and waste water valve.
CONSTITUTION: When opening fully the guide blade 9 provided at the first stage at first, water in the first stage runner 3 is pushed down to vacate the first stage runner, and then when the exhaust gas valve 13 and the waste water valve 15 are opened under the condition that the inlet valve 6 and the guide blade 9 are fully closed, water in the second stage runner 4 is exhausted through the waste water valve 15 to the waste water pit 11, while air from the conduit 12 is supplied to the second stage runner 4. When starting motor under the condition, starting-up in the air is made possible and thus low-input starting-up is attained and shock to the system is relaxed.
