Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate the sealing of a lubricating oil by providing a magnetic seal for the prevention of the leakage of the lubricating oil and a flexible magnet for sealing a magnetic fluid therein to seal the opening part at the stage of sealing the lubricating oil. CONSTITUTION:Upper cylinder 1 and fixed rotary sleeve 2 are brought into contact with central fixed shaft 9 in a rotatable fashion. In addition, the space between the central fixed shaft 9 and the rotary sleeve 2 is constituted as fluid lubricant bearing. At the lower opening of rotary sleeve 2, flexible magnet 30 of concave cross-section shape is installed. Under this design, the same flexible magnet 30 is capable of magnetic sealing for lubricant leakage prevention and mechanical sealing for rotary sleeve 2 at the time of sealing in lubricant 33. The external ring part 34 and the internal ring part 35 of flexible magnet 30 are magnetized in a direction opposite to an axial direction and the space between parts 34, 35 are employed as magnetic fluid tank 38 for magnetic fluid 39.
