Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve non-linear distortion of amplifying Tr by amplifying the output of transistor Tr of an emitter follower circuit by Tr of the opposite conduction type and then by using a Miller circuit flowing nearly-equal currents to both Trs as a load.
CONSTITUTION: Input signal VIN is inputted to the base of PNPTrQ1 of an emitter follower circuit, whose output is led to the base of amplifying NPNTrQ2. As an emitter load and collector load upon Trs Q1 and Q2, current Miller circuit 1 is provided and emitter resistances R2 and R3 are equally set, so that collector currents supplied to Trs Q1 and Q2 will nearly be equal. Between the emitter of TrQ2 and the earth, resistance R1 is connected and between one terminal of resistance R2 of circuit 1 and the earth, output VOUT is led out. In this constitution, nonlinearity of base-emitter voltage VBE between Tr Q1 and Q2 is canceled by flowing equal currents to both Trs, so that non-linearity of amplifying Tr can be improved without feedback.
