Abstract
PURPOSE: To eliminate the faulity of anticorrosiveness by preventing the occurrence of voids and the permeation of moisture by providing a finish coat consisting primarily of a quick setting epoxy resin hardener before hardening on an epoxy resin anticorrosive-coated or-overlaid surface.
CONSTITUTION: An anticorrosive material consisting primarily of an epoxy resin composition or an epoxy resin-impreqnated firous base is coated or overlaid on the surface of a base to be protected from corrosion, and then the surface is further coated with a finishing layer consisting of a quick setting epoxy resin hardener before hardening. The quick setting hardeners used are preferably polyamideamine, polyamine, polyamide, imidazole, quanidine, etc., and coal tar, for example, is added to the hardener and the mixture is applied by blush coating, spraying, etc., whereby the surface layer of the anticorrosive material is rapidly hardened to form a protective layer, preventing the permeation of rain water, moisture, etc., and also the occurrence of voids and pinholes on heat curing. Thus, the faulity of anticorrosive coating can be eliminated.
