Abstract
PURPOSE: To enlarge the ratio of required frequency components to needless frequency components to improve an optical axis control precision by leading in frequency signals sufficiently larger than the frequency, which vibrates the optical axis minutely, to control the optical axis by phase comparison.
CONSTITUTION: When rotary recording medium 7 is irradiated by the laser light passing through mirror 4 which is vibrated minutely through oscillator 12, the reflection laser light is detected by photoelectric conversion element 9, etc., and is detected by detection circuit 14 and is applied to multiplier circuit 20. Meanwhile, signals outputted from oscillator 19 having a frequency sufficiently larger than the oscillated output frequency of oscillator 12 are applied to circuit 20. The output of circuit 20 is compared with the multiplication output of oscillators 21 and 19 through multiplier circuit 22 and BPF 23 by phase comparison circuit 16 through BPF 21. At this comparison time, since the ratio of required frequency components to needless frequency components is large due to the leading-in of high-frequency signals of oscillator 19, the comparison output of circuit 16 becomes tracking signals with a small influence of needless components and controls the rotation of mirror 5, and the optical axis for tracking is controlled with a high precision.
