Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the load of fan during driving by providing the circumferential seals sealing both inside and outside of the room such that the seal effect is produced only during operation of the fan.
CONSTITUTION: A rotary heat exchanger 1 is provided extending over air supply passage 3 (upper part in the drawing) and the air discharge passage (lower part in the drawing) separated by a partition wall 2. The space formed between said heat exchanger 1 and partition wall 2 is sealed by an elastic center seal 10 and outer peripheral seal 11. The space formed by the partition wall 12 separating the inside and outside of the room is sealed by an elastic circumferential seal 14 adjoining a seal ring 13. With the air feed and discharge fans 5, 6 being in operation, said elastic seal contacts the seal ring 13 in accordance with the change of the static pressure condition to produce its sealing effect.
