Abstract

PURPOSE:To allow ink to be easily supplied to nozzles in a high density arrangement in an ink jet head, by forming feed bores in nozzle plates and oscillator plates such that the bores in the former are in aligment with those in the latter. CONSTITUTION:Three kinds of nozzle plates 1a, 1b, 1c have four ink feed through bores 2, respectively, in the same portions thereof, and nozzles 3 communicated with the bores 2 are provided in the mentioned portions of the nozzle plates 1a, 1b, 1c. Liquid chambers 5 communicated with the bores 2 via grooves 4 are also provided in the nozzle plates 1a, 1b, 1c such that the liquid chambers 5 in one of the nozzle plates are not aligned with those in any of the remaining nozzle plates. Each of these nozzle plates 1a, 1b, 1c is opened at one surface thereof. Oscillator plates 7a, 7b, 7c, which correspond to the nozzle plates 1a, 1b, 1c, respectively, have projections 8, which correspond to projections 6 in which the liquid chambers 5 are formed, and ink feed bores 9 which are in alignment with the ink feed bores 2. The nozzle plates 1a, 1b, 1c and oscillator plates 7a, 7b, 7c are laminated, and a electricstraction oscillator 11 to which a signal wire 11a is connected is pasted on the projections 8. Thus, a head plate unit 10 is formed. A plurality of head plate units 10 are laminated to form a multi-nozzle, wherein nozzle plates 1a, 1b, 1c and oscillator plates 7a, 7b, 7c are laminated alternately in the mentioned order.
