Abstract

PURPOSE:To continuously perform the recording by stable ink drops without damage to the quality of recorded images by producing the phase difference between ink drops jetted from the orifices being located in proximity of plural closely arranged jet orifices. CONSTITUTION:Ink drops are jetted from the orifices 1, 3, 5, 7 with a period of A-B and from the orifices 2, 4, 6, 8 with a period of A'-B' with a jet period of t1. A time lag t2 is given between the jettings from the adjacent orifices, the distance of l2 or more corresponding to the time lag t2 is insured between the ink drops of odd number sequence A, B and ones of even number sequence A', B' while flying. A combination due to the collision of ink drops or a change of the flying direction scarecely takes place. When the quantity of a relative movement l2' of the recording paper R for the time t2 is made sufficiently less, each of the ink drops of the phases A, A' and B, B' is recorded on the paper approximately like one line.
