Abstract
PURPOSE:To manufacture the cold rolled steel strip excellent in the workability, by heating the cold rolled steel strip to the specified temperature in a short time which is a function of the finishing temperature of the cold rolling, and by continuing to this with the annealing. CONSTITUTION:The continuously hot rolled steel strip supplied from the payoff reel 1, passes through the shear 2 and the welder 3, and is cold rolled by the cold rolling mill 5 through the front looper 4. The temperature of the steel strip at the end point of the cold rolling is taken as T deg.K; the steel strip is heated at least above 673 deg.K, within a time not exceeding the critical time represented by [2800divided by (T/ 100)<2>] seconds, and is continuously annealed in the annealing furnace 6. The size of crystal grain of the steel strip becomes larger than 20mum, which gives an excellent workability.
