Abstract
PURPOSE:To remarkably enhance workability by a method wherein a specified amount of Al is incorporated in a slab, the slab is heated in a specified temperature range, a finish hot rolling is started at a specified temperature, the coiling is conducted at a specified low temperature and the hot rolled plate is annealed continuously at a specified temperature for a specified period of time. CONSTITUTION:A ferritic stainless steel containing 0.1-0.3wt% of Al is heated to a temperature of 1,000-1,200 deg.C and is subjected to hot rolling with the finish hot rolling started at a temperature of not lower than 900 deg.C (particularly, 950 deg.C or higher). The hot rolled plate thus obtained is coiled at a low temperature of up to 600 deg.C, and is continuously annealed at a temperature of 850- 1,100 deg.C for a short period of time of up to 10min, followed by cold rolling to the final thickness. The ferritic stainless steel sheet thus obtained has little ridging and has a favorable r value.
