Abstract

NEW MATERIAL:A pyridazinone derivative of formula I: (R1 and R2 are lower alkyl groups, or may form a heterocyclic ring together with the adjacent N atom; R3 and R4 are H or lower alkyl groups; n is 2 or 3).
EXAMPLE: 1-( 2-Diethylaminoethyl )-4,4-dimethyl-6-(5-methyl-3-oxo-2,3,4,5-tetrahydropyridazin-6-yl)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinolin-2-one hydrochloride-hemihydrate.
USE: Antithrombotics, antidepressive agents, and intermediates for their synthesis.
PROCESS: A compound of formula III is reacted with a compound of formula IV: (X is halogen) to give a compound of formula V, which is hydrolyzed to form a compound of formula II. The resulting compound or its reactive derivative is then reacted with hydrazine or its hydrate to give the compound of formula I.
