Abstract
PURPOSE:To establish stable wire cut machining at high speeds and with high efficiency by conducting wire in contact with a conductor with the electrode wire kept by linear arranged guides of high reliability. CONSTITUTION:A machining electrode wire 1 is reeled out, travels in the direction of an arrow and reeled in. Pairs of up and down guides 2 using the guides lead an electrode 1 between them linearly under a specified tension and at a specified speed given under control of a driving capstan and a brake. A conductor 3 feeding the electrode 1 with a current is electrified to machine with a fuction capable of controlling the travel in the forward or backward direction of the electrode 1. A stopper 4 is interposed between a pair of guides 2 and the conductor 3, opposed to the conductor 3 through the axis of the electrode 1. This can establish stable wire cut machining at high speed and with high efficiency.
