Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the performance of the sounding of a furnace, by smoothing the flowing of hot water toward an outlet of a heat exchanger by setting a peak of the distribution of the temperature of a burner to the heat exchanger at the other end portion side opposite to one end portion where the gateways of the heat exchanger are located. CONSTITUTION:This combustion portion unit is formed by combining the gateways 10, 11 of a hollow plate 9 and a burner 14, which has a peak of the distribution of temperature 15 at an opposite location along the heating width direction L in the combination of a heat exchanger 8 produced by stacking hollow plates 6, 9, 12 and the burner 14 disposed under the heat exchanger. The flowing of hot water and heat transfer performance are improved by sloping upper surfaces 16 along the heating width direction L of the hollow plates 6, 9, 12 at the angles of 4 deg.-10 deg. that are upward directed gradually toward the outlet 10 side. Hot water with low temperature flowing in from the inlet 11 flows in along the lower surfaces of each plate through a curved wall portion 13, but its internal hot water is higher than the outlet 10 side and smoothly flows out to the outlet 10 as shown in the arrow head in the distribution of the temperature of hot water toward the outlet 10.
