Abstract
PURPOSE: To separate and recover effectively non-ferrous metals such as Al by passing waste having various compositions through a rotary type non-ferrous metal separating apparatus provided with linear motors and a vibrating machine.
CONSTITUTION: A vibrating machine is composed of three linear motors, a vibrating motor 1 and a vibrating plate 2. The linear motors are placed on the vibrating plate 2 suspending the vibrating motor 1. The shifting magnetic field of the linear motors is in the direction of the arrow B. A through 4 placed on the linear motors is made of a non-magnetic material such as stainless steel. The through 4 has a rising gradient in the opposite direction to the shifting magnetic field B, and is constructed so that the perpendicular cross section forms an arc. Solid waste is supplied to the through 4 in the direction of C. The solid materials are subjected to a rising carrier force, and push up adjacent bulk waste in succession. The waste materials are gradually pushed up to a high place of the trough 4. The waste materials pushed up drop by self-weight, flow in the right direction by the slope of the trough and move in the spiral form of D. During the movement, non-ferrous material such as Al is easily separated from other waste materials by deflecting force of linear motors and recovered.
